In the world of ultra-luxury vehicles, having the latest tech toys is only one part of the broader experience. More buyers are demanding that they have a say when it comes to customizing their vehicles. Curated by Cadillac is aiming to provide them this outlet of creativity, and it will be making its debut on the Escalade IQ.
Cadillac embraces its artistic side

Cadillac calls its attempt at customization Curated by Cadillac, and some of its core tricks will be very familiar to those who have used services like Aston Martin’s Q, Maybach’s Made to Measure, and even Porsche’s Sonderwunsch.
Here, Cadillac will offer buyers 160 exterior colors and 44 interior colors that they can specify and mix to their tastes. The exterior colors also have all kinds of finishes available, including gloss, metallic, matte, tri-coat, and more. Meanwhile, the interior colors extend to mundane items like the carpet and the mats, and Cadillac even has a concierge service available to help buyers, especially those who might need some outside input when it comes to style decisions. This also follows up on a similar program the brand did for the CT5-V Blackwing.
Hand-built for even more elegance

Cadillac says it’s fully committed to the bespoke experience, and the brand said all of its Curated by Cadillac models will be “hand-painted to Cadillac’s elevated appearance and quality standards,” with the interiors also being hand-built. Some of these practices are already in use on the ultra-rare Cadillac Celestiq, and it’s evident some of this experience is being used here on the Escalade IQ.
To help keep track of them, Cadillac will assign each of these bespoke Escalades a unique VIN and a special serialized builder’s plate. Production will be kept at an “ultra-low volume,” but the brand stopped short of providing a formal number in its release.
It won’t be cheap

Curated by Cadillac promises to provide a unique customer experience, but like the other boutique services Cadillac is competing with, buyers will be required to pay a hefty price to use it.
If an Escalade IQ buyer chooses this route, Curated by Cadillac will add $54,995 to the price. Cadillac also didn’t say whether Curated by Cadillac will expand to other models, but we suspect the brand will keep it limited to its flagship models to avoid diluting the service by putting it on lower-rung EVs.
