Usually, refreshes are often light updates that still keep the core aspects of the outgoing vehicle. In the case of the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica minivan, this refresh is the equivalent of a major revamp for the aging minivan.

Rumors were swirling about its suite of updates but Chrysler chose to keep them close to the vest. That’s now changing with the company releasing several new teaser images of the front end.

Pacifica trades ovals for angled styling

The trio of teaser images Chrysler released on its Facebook page don;t reveal much else about the van but it appears the side profile will be largely carried over from the outgoing model. That’s fine since the front end is heavily featured anyway. The front of the van gets new boomerang style headlights and a waterfall like design.

The front grille is a two-piece affair now and consists of a small upper piece and a larger piece below. This Pacifica is also the first new Chrysler to get the new winged logo which has been seen only on concept vehicles until today’s surprise appearance on the Pacifica. The interior wasn’t revealed in this photo dump but look for the cabin to maintain the outgoing model’s core design.

When will we see it?

Chrysler’s self aware image leak suggests the reworked Pacifica may appear sooner rather than later with the van possibly making its debut later this year.

One of the big questions is whether this Pacifica could be used as a launch pad for a production version of the Grizzly Peak concept. The Grizzly Peak last appeared as a concept vehicle based on the outgoing van and was supposed to target adventure seekers. With this new one on the horizon, a production Grizzly Peak would help give the van a potent attention grabber and perhaps draw in one of these buyers from other brands.
