Aston Martin promised it would once again focus on providing higher levels of performance with the reborn “S” moniker. While the DBX and Vantage S were potent appetizers, the company has now unveiled the main course the all-new 2026 DB12 S.
DB12 S is an entree that’s worth the wait

Like other S models, the bulk of the DB12’s changes are found under the hood. While it retains the standard model’s twin-turbo V8, the “S” gets upgrades that help bump power up to 691 hp (a gain of 20) and 590 lb-ft of torque. The enhanced power, separate upgrades to the transmission, and launch control allow the car to be faster in performance numbers with the coupe doing the deed in 3.4 seconds. The slightly heavier droptop Volante needs 3.5 seconds with both of them topping out at 202 mph.
After you have a moment to dig in on these numbers, be sure to leave room on your plate for some of the other upgrades that come bundled in with the “S” treatment. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard and not only do they cut 59.5 lbs of flab from the car, but also plenty of stopping power with the front getting 16.1-inch discs while the rear wheels get sightly smaller 14.2-inch units. The uplevel brakes also get Aston’s Corner Brake Control system.

Other tweaks unique to the DB12 S include recalibrated throttle and steering, tweaked Bilstein DTX dampers, and an improved electronic rear differential.
Purposeful styling for the jet set

Along with the mechanical upgrades, the company also gave the ca several styling touches to make it stand out from other DB12 models. A dual-element front splitter enhances downforce with the hood getting new bonnet louvers. Aston says that while Gloss Black is the standard color for these pieces, they can also be replaced with carbon fiber ones if buyers choose to do so.

The rear of the car gets stacked exhaust tips, a fixed rear spoiler, and a new rear diffuser. The exhaust system is made out of stainless steel but buyers can switch it out for an optional titanium one. The leather and Alcantara interior is available in three hues and the drive control knob gets a red hue that replicates the red used on the exterior “S” badging.
When can I order one?

The 2026 DB12 S is available to order now with the coupe and the Volante versions launching at the same time with the first deliveries scheduled to take place in the first half of 2026.
Aston didn’t reveal any pricing for the new model but with a base DB12 starting at around $250,000 look for the base version to start at $275,000 though optional extras and fees could push this price to over $300,000.
