The GMC Acadia generated plenty of buzz when it was redesigned a short while back. The revamp gave the model styling that added more ruggedness to the design while also making the Acadia closer to its bigger counterpart the Yukon when it came to some of the overall aesthetics.
The Acadia already had a range-topping Denali trim but for 2026, GMC is adding a new Denali Ultimate model to give Acadia buyers something special while also allowing the brand to access another sub-segment of the luxury SUV market.
Acadia Denali Ultimate follows the same core script

The Denali Ultimate was first introduced on the Sierra pickup and the Yukon SUV and like those two, the Acadia Denali gets upgraded exterior trim with dark chrome trim for the grille and GMC logo, an animated lighting sequence for the daytime running lights, and larger 22-inch aluminum wheels with a special dark finish called “After Midnight Metallic.”

The light changes on the outside are balanced out by some of the major upgrades the interior gets. The core design is carried over form the standard Denali but the Ultimate gets heated and ventilated front massage seats, wood trim with laser etched depictions of mountains while topographical references are also used in select areas including the door trim and the seatbacks. A 16-speaker Bose Premium sound system is also included and the brand added a new performance suspension to help improve handling.
When can I buy one?

All Denali Ultimate models get the same powertrains as the standard versions with buyers getting to choose from front or all-wheel drive. Fuel economy will carryover too: 20/27/23 mpg on the city/highway/combined cycles for FWD models, and 19/24/21 mpg for AWD variants.
The Denali Ultimate will accompany the rest of the 2026 Acadia lineup when it makes its way to dealerships later this year with Ultimate models getting put on a staggered launch schedule. Pricing will be released in a few months but GMC is hoping the 2026 models can help reverse a sales decline that occured when the revamped version was introduced in 2024.
The ongoing tariffs don’t affect the Acadia as much as some of its rivals due to it being built in the U.S. but the model still uses some globally sourced components which has forced GMC to keep a close eye on the Acadia’s price tag. Look for the Ultimate to potentially absorb some of this financial punch while also giving consumers a tempting luxury option too.
