Hyundai first introduced the 2026 Palisade at the New York Auto Show promising the new SUV would be better than ever with more luxury, capability, and fuel economy.
The one missing piece of the puzzle was pricing and how much more buyers would have to pay for the reworked SUV. Hyundai has delivered the goods and while buyers will have to pay more when compared to the outgoing 2025 version, the company thinks its higher levels of feature content will make up for it in the long run.
This Palisade costs how much?

Hyundai revealed that pricing for the 2026 Palisade will start at $38,935 for the base SE model. That’s an increase of $1,735 versus last year but the SE gets a large chrome grille with gloss black accents and LED lighting. The SE also gets front laminated side glass, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a specially constructed acoustic windshield designed to reduce interior noise.
The interior is reflective of the SE’s role as the entry level member of the family with a smaller 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster flanking the 12.3-inch infotainment system but a leather wrapped steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, and tri-zone climate control enhance long-term comfort.

Meanwhile, the $41,440 SEL gets more exterior garnishments and a bigger 12.3-inch cluster with leatherette seating, heated front seats and second-row captains chairs. The SEL is also split into two sub-trims: Convience, and Premium with both of them adding unique upgrades to make the SEL stand out better. The $49,270 Palisade Limited builds on the SEL Premium and is the first trim to get real leather upholstery, fancier interior materials, and a 14-speaker Bose Premium audio system with the third row also getting seat heat and a power fold function. Lastly, the $54,060 Palisade Calligraphy gets 21-inch wheels, body color classing and a unique grille with the interior getting Nappa leather upholstery, Hyundai’s Ergo-Motion driver seat, a heads-up display, power folding second-row seats, and upgraded wood trim. We have included a chart that details the full pricing ladder below. A rugged XRT PRO version will also be available for trail seekers with these versions getting standard all-wheel drive and select trail focused upgrades.

Two flavors of performance
Buyers will have a choice of two engines when the 2026 models begin making their way to showrooms. The base engine is a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 that makes 287 hp and 291-lb-ft of torque with an eight-speed automatic being the lone transmission. Front or all-wheel drive is available and Hyundai says this engine can get 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

In addition to the V6, the Palisade is also getting a new hybrid model with these variants getting their green-tinged motivation from a smaller hybrid equipped 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that works together with two electric motors and a 1.65 kWh battery pack to produce a combined system output of 329 hp and 34 mpg though Hyundai stopped short of revealing full fuel economy numbers.
Two caveats here are the engine only comes with a six-speed automatic and the SE misses out with the SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy being the three lone points of entry for hybrid buyers.
When viewed as a whole, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade is shaping up to be a sharper and more poised instrument and with the 2025 model already providing a solid foundation, look for the 2026 model to continue its path to success.
