The Ford Bronco is preparing to celebrate its 60th anniversary next year and the company is preparing to roll out all the stops to make sure its a birthday bash no on ewill forget.

This includes the debut of the all-new 60th anniversary edition model which celebrates 60 years of Bronco while also bringing back an iconic Bronco color to help ring in the festivities the right way.

Wimbledon White takes Bronco back to the 1960s

The new special edition model is based on the Outer Banks trim and comes bundled with the Sasquatch package which gives the Bronco 35-inch tires, front and rear locking differentials, a unique final drive, and automatic four wheel drive. The model also brings back Wimbledon White paint with the hue being paired with Vermilion Red color accents. The package can also be equipped with Ruby Red paint with the Wimbledon White being relegated to the roof.

The interior gets trimmed in black and white leather with the 60th Anniversary logo embossed into the backrests. Red accents are also plashed throughout the cabin and a new grab handle is part of broader updates that are coming to all 20206 models. The 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is standard but buyers looking for more power can go for the larger 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6.

When can I buy one?

Ford said it will reveal final pricing for the 60th Anniversary Edition before it goes on sale in October. Look for the figure to follow what we have seen from other Ford heritage models over the years with this Bronco having a slight premium slapped on it when compared to a standard Outer Banks model.

There’s a chance that the 60th Anniversary model could make an appearance at the Woodward Dream Cruise later this month. Ford is one of the headline sponsors of the event and has occasionally used the Dream Cruise as a backdrop for a surprise or two. Perhaps this Bronco could be one of the surprises the company possibly has in store for this year’s event.
